Founded in 2008, POST is a peer-led UK network for artists who respond to place. POST holds monthly meetings including discussions, crits and project planning. POST stages site-specific exhibitions and projects reflecting the diverse practices of its members. In a POST project artists from the network respond to one place – led and curated by members who have a personal involvement with that locality. POST projects can be situated anywhere, including engaging with overlooked and disused spaces and investigating notions of public space.
POST is a peer-led UK network for artists who respond to place. For Anti-University 2017 POST’s London members will host an open discussion. We will be discussing hyperconnectivity and context collapse, whether location is becoming less important to identity, and if so what impact does this have on place-related art practices.
