Student Direct Action Potluck

7 September 2021

Venue: Conway Hall: Bertrand Russell Room

Organiser: Liberate the University

Bring a pot, tactics and ideas!

Liberate the University is hosting a potluck for students to discuss and create direct action tactics for the upcoming academic year!

We love potluck dinners because everyone is bringing something they love to the table. Food brings people together! Liberate the University is bringing together seasoned activists, interested students and anyone who wants to be involved. Learn about successful fee strike strategies over a steaming pot of curry. Listen about our experiences with direct action while eating our favourite vegan cookies. Ask about (and have a bite of) anything you like.

So come along and bring your friends, ideas, and experiences to the table!

If you can’t join us at Conway Hall, we’ll be holding the same event virtually tomorrow, so do sign up for that! Attendees for the physical event are also welcome to come to the virtual event for more discussion.

Liberate the University is a community of students who are fighting for free, demarketised, decolonised and democratised education. We are defending the rights of students and staff on campuses all over the country. You might have heard about our actions around the rent strikes and fee strikes this year, as well as the organising school we co-hosted with The World Transformed alongside other grassroots student organising groups!
